A nice tall glass of Knob Creek will bring out the emancipator in you!
First post of this blog and I am pretty excited. Not only am I excited, I am well into a bottle of Knob Creek bourbon whiskey. Which, by the way, is made by the finest bourbon company in the world, Jim Beam! What does this have to do with history? Glad you asked.
Knob Creek is a small town in Kentucky and Abraham Lincoln lived there from the age of 2 until he was about 8. Some whiskey historians argue that the water from Knob Creek is used in the distilling process of the bourbon. While I have not found any conclusive evidence to back up this claim, I don't give a shit - it sounds good enough to me. Enjoy the blog and conquer history with me! God-damnit!
